-Full Headcanons-

Bermuda is polite. Really Polite to the extinct that it is quite strange. Maybe even suspicious to some. However she does mean well. Lotte does this because she is know for her hospitality. No surprise being one of the island's main source of income is from tourist. Thus she shows her thanks to them through her manners and such. Also it is just common for her to use her manners from back when she was younger. If questioned she will tell you this.

With the antics she has to deal with, both government and nation wise, she sometimes thinks she's the only sane person. Such as America and England's arguments.

Despite being related to England and America she is actually not a bad cook. Scratch that she is a great cook! If you are lucky you might be able to have her cook something. On that note of food she in not fond of American Fast food joints or restaurants. This to the point where she gets sick just thinking about it.

Charlotte is overall a nice person. However she can and will voice her displeasures. She does however tries not to bring up the past as to show mercy in a way. She has seen many of the conflicts around the world so she does have a lot of black mail material. Not that she would tell you that.

Compared to England she does have a slightly stronger spiritual like bond. As in like seeing fairies and such. Why you may ask, two words.
Bermuda Triangle. Nuff said.

She does act serious when it comes to her job. This is because she cares very much about the safety of her people and tourist a like.

The weather in the country is bipolar. No lie. Thus she can be be quite cynical in away because of certain things.

As she is almost a neighbour to America if something starts up there, it is bound to cause a retaliation to Bermuda. For example, if America gets a cold she will get one not long afterwards. This also links with how she is on par with the US Dollar.

Despite being closer to America than England she does use the UK spellings and systems. Bermuda is quite happy being a territory of England. This being because of the benefits she and her people have such as being able to acquire a British passport. She has no plans to become her own country at the moment.

Bermuda can hold her liquor very well compared to some countries. This because of the many kinds of types of drinks she has and are famous for. It wouldn't make sense to get drunk easily. Though if you do get her drunk she does tend to be a some what rude drunk and would bitch at you for many things.

While she is a British territory Bermuda does use her own slang and or sayings. Such as 'Down de Road', 'Up the country', on 'de rock' and 'across the pond' are some that she does use. However, this is used in company she is comfortable with and not when she is talking to her Superior such as England or her government.

When she is in a good mood she can be seen as up beat and mature in away. Often she will smile a lot. Bermuda loves to celebrate or find an excuse to celebrate something. It's just in her nature to party a lot.

Bermuda tries to not to rely on anyone when it is not necessary.

She very much enjoys the gombey dancers. She loves to watch them.

She has a lot of pride in what she is. Her people, her land, everything. For example she does not go to beaches in other countries as they are not as lovely as her own in her eyes. Also she loves the Bermuda sloops which were envied by many back in the day and even now.

Bermuda has quite the soft spot for stray cats and or kittens. She tends to take care of the few that come by her home. It saddens her that the number of strays are very large and that she can not take care of them all.

-Extras~!-

Bermuda has one of the highest GDP's in the world. Even higher than America's and England's!

Fashion wise Bermuda always keeps up to date with the latest trends in both American and European trends.

The HDI or Human Development Index for Bermuda is very high thus she is known as a developed country.

A General Election must be held in Bermuda every five years. Following the PLP's re-election in 2007, the next election must be held no later than this year, 2012.

She speaks fluent Portuguese. Most likely because of the amount of Portuguese people who like here and can be considered Bermudians. They play a big role in our home country.

History Time!

Bermuda was discovered in 1505 by Spanish sea captain Juan de Bermúdez, after whom the islands are named, who claimed it for the Spanish Empire. Although he paid two visits to the archipelago, Bermúdez never set foot on the uninhabited islands because of the dangerous reef that surrounded most of the islands.

Subsequent Spanish or other visitors are believed to have released the feral pigs that were abundant on the island when settlement began.

The archipelago was settled by England in 1609, by the Virginia Company, which had established Jamestown on the Continent two years earlier.

Administered as an extension of Virginia by the Virginia Company until 1614, and by its successor, the Somers Isles Company, from 1615 until 1684, Bermuda became a British colony following the 1707 unification of the Kingdom of England with the Kingdom of Scotland to create the unified Kingdom of Great Britain.

Since Virginia's independence, Bermuda is the oldest remaining British overseas territory. Its first capital, St George's, was established in 1612 and is the oldest continuously-inhabited English town in the Americas.

Other Facts

Bermuda has an affluent economy, with off-shore finance as its largest sector, followed by tourism. In 2005 Bermuda claimed to have the world's highest GDP per capita, but these statistics are difficult to verify as Bermuda is classified as a territory of the UK rather than an independent country. It has a subtropical climate.

Bermuda makes up the easternmost point of the so-called "Bermuda Triangle," a region of sea in which a number of aircraft and surface vessels have allegedly disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The island is prone to severe weather and powerful hurricanes, with widespread power outages.

This is about a few months worth of work. I will be adding stuff over time. You can find more info on her roleplay account: ~Hidden-BDA-territory/:iconhidden-bda-territory:
